^I still get the other sides with the sandwiches.

I think KFC has had fries in countries other than America before, so this isn't completely uncharted territory. The wedges usually came as a side to their meals. If they were fresh and cooked properly, they were pretty good. Unfortunately, they were near universally burned, dried out, and just generally gross to eat most times.

i don't think i ever got burned wedges that often. my main issue was always that bigger wedges are so naturally potato-y that it's just too mushy, especially if the wedges aren't hot/fresh

I like a good balance between the mushiness inside and crispy exterior, personally.

The Piggly Wiggly in my hometown had amazing potato wedges on their hot table during lunch. Perfectly crunchy with a delightful ratio of crunch to fluffy potato. I also discovered a gas station in college that sold mini potato wedges that were extremely crunchy. So dang good.

The bad ones just need more barbecue or thousand island and then they're good onion rings.

But western bacon cheeseburgers are required by law to have barbecue drenched onion rings, and they're the best types of burgers.
