Hey, nice work X-3! First clear for VGF 2019.

Hopefully I can get back into this today. It's been a hectic time, and most gaming I've done lately has been on my Switch with its ease of accessibility.

I said this elsewhere, but for several reasons I did not come back to this. I did really like my party, I just have had a very strange summer.

The internet ate my previous post, so I'll just keep it short.

All in all, this was a really good run. There were no absolutely broken classes like Mystic Knight or Ranger, but all the jobs I got were useful and meshed well together. Knight had good stats and the best equipment, and worked well as both a tank and a damage-dealer. Ninja was even better at doing damage, especially with Throw. The Ninja's scrolls were the only multi-target attacks I had for most of the game. Dual-wielding was fantastic, and !Image was also situationally useful. Time Mage was great for support, especially once I acquired Hastega. Offensively the job was good but not great, since a large number of enemies and bosses are immune to some combination of Slow, Stop, Old, or Gravity, and Comet/Meteor are extremely erratic in their damage output. Bard was surprisingly really good. Being able to cast Regen on all allies or Stop/Confuse on all enemies with no MP cost was very helpful, Requiem was great against undead enemies, and the stat-boosting songs were nice despite preventing my Bard from being able to use healing items when the need arose.

My biggest problem was, once again, the lack of multi-target healing. More than any previous run, I struggled to stay stocked up on healing items and had to frequently return to shops. At the same time, my party was resilient enough that I didn't suffer too many party wipes. Good run overall. Looking forward to next year's.
