Bastion was a pretty novel playthrough, too bad there's not many more games like it. Thomas Was Alone and Nihilumbra are kind of similar in that they have a narrator.

I’ve tried playing both Bastion and Transistor and couldn’t really get into either one. Something about Supergiant games apparently just doesn’t do it for me.

Honestly, if you take away the narration Bastion loses a lot of its charm. If that doesn't interest you then all you're left with is an adequate action game. I thought it was neat though, I wanted to see what he'd say next so it drove me through the game, but I can see how someone wouldn't get into it.

Yeah, I love it almost entirely because of its vibe. The gameplay is fine, but it's secondary. So if you don't love the vibe, you're probably not gonna like it much.

It has one of the best film noir type soundtracks in gaming and a really cool interrogation system, L.A Noire really is quite good.
