Games' hunter
Hello
I’m an ex Snes gamer and master of Rock’n Roll Racing though my old loves are legendary RPG’s (Seiken Densetsu, Star Ocean, Terranigma, Illusion of Time, FF3... thank you slow Internet from 2000) and also Super Metroid, F-Zero etc. I still play but I have less time, just finished Ori and the Blind Forest and boy was that awesome… BTW I think the first video game I played was NES Little Nemo or Kirby. And that was some revelation…
I’m from “the rest of the world” as Americans put it. Or “that heathen wasteland” as English put it. Or “give me back my daughterrrrr” as my French neighbors say though I desperately tell them that I practice only platonic gaming and fierce, ruthless, equally desperate “self love” while thinking about what Mrs PacMan would like with legs.
My hobbies include drinking expensive hipster beers, beating my kid as often as I can, reading comics (other than teenager heroes that I despise, I’m talking Sandman, Hellboy, Hellblazer, Warren Ellis, Snyder, Azarello etc.) and comics from other countries, and mangas and novels.
Now I have I have to say fare thee well ladies and gents (mostly virgin gents I suppose). Now I have to eat some cheese with a beret in front of the Eiffel Tower while drinking wine so let me wave you goodbye with that hand with whom we all had our way (and I'm not talking about Tyrion).
C’est la vie.

Re: Games' hunter
Welcome. I also used to like Nintendo back before they went third party. I also used to play a lot of RPGs before I stopped. I mean, I still have them in my backlog (when talking about FF7, there should be spoiler alerts), but haven't actually sat through one in a while.
Competition is a good thing. It's a chance to crush people.

Not sure what being a game hunter has to do with it but I figured I'd latch onto this one and say hello to everyone as well.
So...uh...hello!

Hi and thank you all for this warm welcome that most certainly foreshadows a gang rape in the shower room. Just kidding. French never take a shower and have a good reason to do so : the “Mogwai effect". It involves Cronenberg-like formication and old Chinese merchants of singing balls of fur (not their dog-brunch) that turn out to be unwilling biological weapons.
Now that you’ve learned something today, thank you for the marshmallow, I’m already feeling like comfy like an alien seed in your larynges. The larynges is a part of your body that is very flexible until you’re 13. You should learn foreign languages and sounds as soon as possible : I did so with English and I speak a bit of Spanish too. (and yes, I wrote all the rest just to get to this conclusion.)
And a good day to you.

We're going to have at you one at a time, we're not animals. By the way, I hope you're not in the UK, you may end up facing jail time, ironically potentially ending up experiencing your jest come to fruition.
What is your primary language? I'm always impressed by people who are bilingual. How did you learn them, are you self-taught? What inspired you to do so?
Stay out of trouble and don't drop the soap.

Re: Games' hunter
Well thank you, and I happen to stay away from the perfidious Albion and her troubled waters over which no bridge should ever stand… and where I met my fate in London, ten years ago, during a frightening but lustful encounter. The inn reeked of pints filled with sunken tears and cold kebab. The fat bald keeper was sweating like a Russian porn actor. His zipper was distorted under the constant pressure of a lovefcratian lurking, man-eating abnormality.
My very eyes were deluded and caused me to stumble : her name was Magdalene but was that a girl or a potato in my bed ? It was confusing : everybody was so pale, oh the whiteness, the whiteness…
Dawn itself had to come twice to wake me up but my innocence was gone and so was my heterosexuality. In my restless dreams I see that town… I promised to come back but I never did... well, that potato dwells all alone there, now, in our special plate…
That’s when I realized that what I had learned at the university was wrong. It didn’t matter for I had gotten lost so often in translation of SNES RPGs that I would forever crave more pixelated poetry and other legendary games that only a well-experienced eye could find. Now that I make a living as a teacher (of English) I can’t really tell you how I learned, I should suppose a mix of travelling/studying/playing/watching films and (not enough) talking.

I feel like I'm on drugs when I read your posts, or like I lost my mind. I couldn't even finish that one, I'll have to come back to it.

There's surely one but it can't give a pricise idea of the deepness of Orwell's reflection on society and how a dictature maintains itself. I like especially the Newspeak idea : to control people you take out words from their vocabulary. Without a concept sucha as freedom, you can't ask for freedom... a

Vocabulary knowledge mediates the link between socioeconomic status and word learning in grade school, Journal of Experimental Child Psychology (2017)Dr. Mandy Maguire, associate professor in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences (BBS), said in her study that children from lower-income homes learned 10 percent fewer words than their peers from higher-income homes...The vocabulary gap between the two groups of children gets larger throughout their schooling and has long-term academic implications...
