Arcade Post limit

It said that I need to have an average of four posts per day. Since I've had this account for a few years and I've had several long periods of inactivity, I only have an average of maybe 2-3 over around three years. So what exactly is the use of the arcade post limit?

4 posts each day reset at midnight.
Competition is a good thing. It's a chance to crush people.

Oh. I just assumed that it was average because I'd posted a lot in the RP forum yesterday and didn't realize it was past midnight.

Techincally, say I make my fourth post at 11:58PM, couldn't I just set my time zone back to get more play time?

I'm not sure whether it's server-based or time zone based.

If it was an average, I'd be doomed. Years without posting hurts such a thing, after all.
