I'm not sure that is a thing.
Competition is a good thing. It's a chance to crush people.

She means candied. Candied Cherries.

Which I haven't had any, so I can't say.

...are those the ones that you get on stollens and fruitcakes?

They're alright, in moderation.

Some people don't know what glacé means (the definition is "preserved in sugar" by the by.) and I don't think I'm wrong necessarily.

Also, apparently they can last for six months. On one hand that's ridiculous, but on the other it's used in fruit cake so I can't be surprised.

Sorry, Tazy... I was trying to joke. ;) I know that glacé means to replace the water content with a sugar content after they have been dunked in boiling water to make the skins more permeable. We don't use the term "candied" here. ;) :p :D

I remember Leno or Conan ate a 100 year old fruitcake. Dunno what the hell they did to it but that's amazing.

Yeah, if I'd had to guess, I would've thought it had something to do with freezing.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I might need to look for these at one of the nearby supermarkets. Maybe convince everyone here to try some? I need to remember this for later.

^ Also, yes it involves freezing them.

^Euurrghh. Don't just eat glace cherries, man. Like, if you want to eat something pointlessly sweet, get a bag of Skittles or something. Eating glace cherries just on their own is akin to...I don't know, drinking vanilla extract or white syrup or something. I concede it's an option, but it's kind of a yucky option, isn't it.
