I didn't play single player too much, so maybe MKDS has bad AI.

Hunting for sport is stupid.

Imagine thinking that killing a defenseless animal makes you badass or manly.

Wholeheartedly agree, but I also recognize that there are legitimate reasons to hunt at least in some places.

Honestly, I feel that hunting for your own food probably reduces the environmental impact you personally have - even over vegans or something. No plastic, no mass-farming involved. For sport, I never really understood either.

I could see that. If memory serves there's discussion about just how much a vegan diet reduces your carbon footprint. I suspect the best way is an omnivorous diet such that you still eat some meat, but a lot less than Americans do currently.

I don't see the point of hunting for sport. It's probably a built-in biological mechanism people like to exercise. I wouldn't say it is stupid, but it's primitive.

Seems more fun too. Reminds me of Pokemon Snap, I wish we'd get a sequel or remake. Maybe a VR experience, that'd be great.

Maybe me? I mentioned that the AI clips through items if you're far enough away from it, but I suspect that's more to do with saving processing than actually cheating. Only seemed to happen to the low-placed AIs, and even then mostly because they just drive down the middle the whole race. Don't remember having many issues with MKDS cheating either. That said, that may be because everything looks fair in comparison to 64...

Hunting for food is probably ridiculously eco-friendly at an individual level, but also definitely unsustainable for larger groups.

I feel like Pokemon GO kinda did that since a lot of people just take pictures of pokemon doing things in the real world anyway

but yeah pokemon snap and zelda 2 are like the two nintendo games that im surprised they've never revisited the concepts for

Yeah, I guess Pokemon GO has similar elements. Zelda 2 isn't very good so I can see why it is sort of skipped over. It had potential I suppose, but it was kind of a mess.

I parsed that as "I named my child Zelda 2" for a second. I just wonder if you had a "Zelda 1" kid as well.

for real though zelda 2 could use a remake--but a more "overhaul" remake, like a reboot.
