when I was young I was bitten by a radioactive cool person and the next morning I woke up wearing shades and skating
Thanks! On humans it helps a lot to know that skin only partially blocks and scatters light, and in any areas that tend to lack bone/feature more cartilage like the nose, lips, ears especially, it's going to appear more rosy/reddish. 'Sub-surface scattering' is what it's called in CGI. Games only started doing it more recently in real-time and it goes a long way to making some materials and characters feel more natural.Apollo the Just wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 2:24 amYour use of color in shading is such an inspiration. I constantly think of what you've told me about using color when shading but I'm always like 'eh im lazy' so i usually half-ass it, but looking at your work reminds me of why I shouldn't settle. it's gorgeous.
In an alternate universe, 3D Realms/Apogee got the Disney license and made Hail to the Kingdom Hearts. Also in this reality, George Broussard was executed for war crimes and Tom Hall is now the leader of the company.
