Stage of the Month #96: Joust

#1

Post by CaptHayfever » Thu Jan 09, 2020 7:24 pm

BALLOON FIGHT

Source: Balloon Fight
Appears in: Smash 4 3DS, Ultimate
Home characters: ROB, Wii Fit Trainer

Availability: Unlockable (3DS), Starter (Ultimate)
--Unlock: Use Villager 3 times.
Type: Sedimentary
Hazards: Flipper, Spark, Fish, Wraparound

Music:
"Balloon Fight Medley"
"Balloon Trip"

Trivia:
--There are 3 different platform configurations, but each stays fixed for the rest of the match.
--The water is NOT swimmable.
--Flippers function like they do in Melee, rather than like they do in Balloon Fight.

I don't get to play this one too often, but I like it.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

The Joust that Balloon Fight is based on.

I know Joust. But I'm making a different reference here. :P

Balloon Fighter would be a killer retro addition to the roster, if they ever wanted to do that kind of thing again. Not very likely for the DLC fighters, though.

Another option: Stanley the Bugman. STANLEY FOR SMASH

^Does Balloon Fighter have any moves other than Villager's recovery?

Did Captain Falcon have any moves besides “drive a car”?

But none of the other characters had "drive a car" in their movesets already. I'm just saying Villager already sorta has Balloon Fighter mixed in.

Ah, that’s fair. Well in that case I transfer all of my retro campaign energy to Stanley the Bugman
