Arms characters are humans with superpowers.
Reveal trailer was pretty good, featured first new voice recordings for Capt. Falcon since 1999.

Character: MIN MIN arms herself for battle!
--Releases June 29th. (I'll be out of town.)
--Recommended by the Arms producer.
--Spring Man googles an anime character which is part of why he wasn't picked. (*coughJOKERcough*)
--Mobility during spring punches. Fair can be smashed.
--A & B buttons are the left & right arms.
--Spring punches lack hurtbox, can hit out of counter range.
--Weak to aerials.
--Kicks for jab combo, up/down tilt/smash, dash, Uair, Dair. (Up smash is reflector)
--Left arm powers up after throws.
--Up B: Arms Jump on ground, Arms Hook (tether) in air. Can attack afterwards.
--Down B: Change right arm attachment
----Ramram (chakram frisbee)
----Megawatt (slow, strong, short range)
----Dragon (dual wielded, laser if button held, can attack in both directions)
--Final smash: Arms Rush. cutscene, similar to Spring Man AT finisher
--Stage: Spring Stadium.
----Jump platforms I love them already.
----Ceiling arches
----Hunger Games-esque item drones
----18 songs

New Mii Costumes
--Brawler: Ninjara (Arms), Heihachi (Tekken), Callie (Splatoon)
--Gunner: Marie (Splatoon), Vault Boy (Fallout)

Other:
--Can now rematch a specific spirit from the Inventory list, saves high scores.
--If you've purchased the Cuphead costume, the Cuphead spirit board fight will change from Mega Man to Gunner. Other such changes could occur in the future.
--Tips for harder spirit fights now available.
--Amiibo this fall: Joker, TheHero, not sure if all DLC can be Amiibized.
--Dev team is working from home, so future DLC characters should still all be out by Dec 2021.

i think min min will make players rage simply by virtue of being a character that people can play

Grounded Up B looks like it could be a good get-out-of-jail card. It'll be interesting to see how her kit plays out.

She's effectively Monado Belmont. If you can get in close, you can do a lot of harm, but at a distance she has the advantage.
I'm actually really stoked about her stage, too, but I already saw a bunch of whiners in the sidebar chat complaining about it.

It kinda sucks when the more interesting characters are costumes. Maybe they didn't include Heihachi because he was in PSASBR.

Ok, test driving the new character: It is so awkward not having real neutral/side specials. Dual Dragon will probably only be useful in 3+ player matches. Classic mode is fun, but spamming Megawatt smashes makes it pretty easy (that might be the fastest I've ever downed Galleom, including in my WoL NG+ with a full skill tree & spirits equipped). Her spirit board is a little underwhelming; the previous Arms spirits migrated here, so I technically had some of it done already. Max Brass is a pain....until I started spamming Megawatt smashes again.
