Character of the Month #82: Technically Polyhedrons

Post by CaptHayfever » Sat Oct 13, 2018 3:40 pm

Source series: Super Smash Bros.
First appearance: SSB64 (1999)

Weight class - Very light
Falling class - All
Running speed - All
Jump height - All
Character class - Clones

All 12 characters' movesets, without specials or grabs.

HOME COURSES: Battlefield, Race to the Finish

TAUNT: None?

--Originally called the Dummy Corps.
--Since they have no specials, they have no recovery moves, but the Kirby & Jigglypuff polygons do have all their jumps.
--Kirby's polygon looks like a snowman for some reason.
--The polygons of Luigi, Ness, Falcon, & Jigglypuff are always available, even before those playable characters are unlocked.
--During their Classic mode 30-member-team fight, they don't have any predictable sequence of appearance; each type has a 1/12 chance of spawning as any of the 30 opponents.
--If you linger too long after clearing one of their legs of the Race to the Finish, the polygon you just escaped might jump over its ledge & fall down after you into the next obstacle. Otherwise, they'll try to attack you through their floors.

Behold the "September" CotM. I'm almost caught up!
(Don't expect Ultimate characters to show up until January.)

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
