I've been playing the GCN Animal Crossing as of late. The battery that runs the GCN's internal clock seems to have finally died; I have to reset the clock every time I play.

Playing Mighty Switch Force for 3DS. It's kinda bare bones, and I'm not big on puzzles, but it's alright.

Yokai Watch is the latest Japanese game I've switched to. Got it very cheap presumably because an Amazon seller realized too late that importing already-localized games for a region locked system without an English language option is a pretty awful business strategy.

Unsurprisingly, Fire Emblem Heroes. I also have Pokémon Omega Ruby on standby.

Pokken. It's surprisingly good, but it's flawed. They tried too hard to differentiate it from "normal" fighting games and it just hurts the experience.

I quit this one recently. Finally got sick of grinding for orbs only to get trash pulls.

Fire Emblem Heroes is too complicated (not gameplay but menus and events and such), I just summon once in a while and log out.

I'm going through Link to the Past, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Pokemon Moon.
I have my separate opinions on each and will be able to say what I think when I'm finished.

Been slogging through Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the past few weeks. The gacha part is unnecessary and some of the characters do irk my a little bit, but its a pretty good dame so far.

In the last month I finished Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice, then hit Mario Galaxy 2. Was going to start Metroid Prime 3 but my disc is bad apparently so I jumped back to Mario Galaxy 1 to finish it with Luigi. Been on a nice Nintendo kick.

Re: What Nintendo game are you currently playing PtII?
I'm playing through Star Allies with a co-op group. It's one of those games that's almost entirely dependent on having the right group of friends for it - we're having a good time, but it couldn't hold my interest long enough to even finish the demo in single player.
Also dabbling in Voez again on my own. It's a really good rhythm game that I'd like a lot more if the progression unlocks made any sense. They're basically just a cycle of "get X [S/A/B/C] ranks on N [easy/hard/special] songs", except that, where you would logically expect the cycle to run through X, then N, then the difficulty, it goes backwards and doesn't credit you for playing at higher difficulty. You get a sequence of difficulty spikes and cliffs generally moving upwards instead of a smooth progression.

I'm okay with trash pulls (though almost every unit has a skill that can be inherited or such). I play for the instant strategy and seeing hopeless fights turn into sudden victories (mostly because of AI nonsense, but also because of my own tactical choices).
I'm honestly not sure what's complicated about it. Could be that I'm already used to it, but I found no problem following the menus when I started back in July last year.I REALLY HATE POKEMON! wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 9:00 pmFire Emblem Heroes is too complicated (not gameplay but menus and events and such)

^ I don't understand what the events are or how they work. Sure, story mode is simple enough but the rest isn't self-explanatory. I did skip past the tutorials though so I guess that's my fault, but it blasts you with information.

Finally finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Was a fairly enjoyable game, but again, the story started off interesting and kind of devolved as it went along. I would probably give a 7-8 out of 10.
Now I'm on to finishing my copy of Fire Emblem Warriors that I've had sitting around since Christmas.

Mario Odyssey. I was finishing up the ice world but got distracted going back to the dinosaur one. These worlds don't seem too much bigger than even Mario 64's but they are much more densely pack with activity, although they feel less organic due to that. Regardless, it is drawing me in more each time.
